Operations Supervisor - Summary- Supervise daily operations within a logistics environment, focusing on efficiency, safety compliance, and customer service.
- Oversee Longshoremen and Dispatcher Office staff to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to operational standards.
- Support administrative functions such as billing, payroll, and documentation.
- Serve as a key point of contact for both internal teams and customers.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of Longshoremen to ensure efficient line handling and operational consistency.
- Manage Dispatcher Office staff to maintain timely and accurate scheduling and communication.
- Monitor workflow, quickly resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce and maintain workplace safety standards in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, reporting and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high service standards.
- Participate in customer meetings to review service performance and provide operational updates.
- Assist with billing processes, including reviewing invoices and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping records, coordinating with HR/payroll departments.
