Customer Service Representative – Insurance Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative – Insurance to join a State Farm Agent’s independent office team on a full-time basis. As a key member of the agency, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with clients while supporting the growth of the business. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic and a passion for helping customers navigate their insurance needs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify leads by scheduling appointments, identifying client needs, and marketing suitable insurance products and services.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships, providing ongoing support and follow-up as required.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claims submissions, and billing clarification.
- Collaborate with the agent and team to set and achieve marketing goals that drive business success.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about available insurance options and help them make informed decisions.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a daily commitment to achieving team and individual goals.
- Provide timely and thorough activity reports to the agent to ensure effective communication and workflow.
- Stay current with product changes, licensing requirements, technical developments, and continuing education to ensure compliance and best practices within the insurance industry.
Requirements
- Active Property and Casualty License required.
- Prior insurance experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem solving and daily responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and provide outstanding customer service.
- Comfortable learning and using computer functions and agency management software.
- Pride in producing accurate and timely work results.
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are highly valued.
