Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Family MedicineWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a reputable and independent Family Medicine practice on the Central Coast of California. This is a full-time role that offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a supportive and collaborative environment. The practice is located in Salinas, CA, with the added benefit of being just a short drive from the beautiful Monterey area.
Position OverviewAs a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Family Medicine, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality outpatient care to patients ranging from infants to the elderly. You will work alongside an experienced team known for its outstanding culture and commitment to patient well-being. This is a 100% outpatient role with light call responsibilities, allowing you to maintain an excellent work-life balance while making a direct impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary care services to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, in an outpatient family medicine setting.
- Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions, and provide preventive care and health education.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic tests as appropriate to patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage and coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Participate in light on-call duties as part of a shared rotation within the practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Current and unrestricted licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in California.
- Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population and adapt to a fast-paced outpatient setting.
