We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dynamic internal medicine practice. This full-time opportunity offers a chance to work as a valued member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a busy clinical environment. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population, focusing on both male and female reproductive health, internal medicine conditions, and preventive care. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare and who are eager to expand their clinical skills in a collaborative team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret medical and social histories for both male and female patients, with a focus on reproductive health and overall wellness.
- Perform medical screening procedures and physical examinations for a diverse patient base, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments.
- Analyze laboratory data and order additional laboratory investigations as indicated, ensuring proper follow-up and continuity of care.
- Provide a range of contraceptive options, including oral and topical contraceptives, and emergency contraception as necessary.
- Conduct medical assessments and deliver management plans for internal medicine conditions, as well as basic sexually transmitted infection (STI) and genitourinary conditions for both male and female clients.
- Offer guidance on wellness and weight management, supporting patients in achieving their health goals through education and evidence-based strategies.
- Deliver prenatal care services, as well as perimenopausal and menopausal care, tailored to the needs of each patient.
- Serve as a medical consultant to clinic staff, offering expertise and guidance on patient care and clinical procedures.
- Manage emergency situations within the clinic, responding promptly and effectively to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in staff meetings related to clinic management and provide ongoing training on current medical procedures and best practices.
- Take part in after-hours coverage as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by clinic leadership.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Current state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current DEA license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
- Ability to perform all essential duties as outlined above with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Strong willingness and ability to acquire new clinical skills relevant to patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as part of a healthcare delivery team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and recognized expertise as a mid-level practitioner.
