Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough examinations of patients and review detailed medical histories to inform treatment decisions.
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to accurately diagnose a range of health conditions and illnesses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for both chronic and acute infectious diseases, tailoring approaches to individual patient needs.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with current guidelines and best practices, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date, and accurate medical records and schedules, supporting continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
- Clearly communicate health conditions, treatment options, and prescribed medications to patients, fostering understanding and engagement in their own care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term well-being.
- Oversee the overall health and progress of patients, providing follow-up care and phone consultations as needed to address ongoing concerns.
- Promote evidence-based health practices within the internal medicine framework, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in internal medicine and primary care.
- Participate in patient callbacks and follow-ups to ensure excellent continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an internal medicine or family practice setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
