Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Job OverviewFirst Care Bossier is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become an integral part of our clinical team at our urgent care center in Bossier City, Louisiana. As a full-time member of our healthcare staff, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered urgent care services to individuals of all ages, ensuring the health and well-being of our local community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose acute illnesses and injuries, such as influenza, strep throat, lacerations, sprains, and strains.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, including prescribing medications as appropriate for each patient’s condition.
- Deliver clear and compassionate patient education, providing instructions and guidance on managing acute conditions and following prescribed treatment plans.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient encounters in electronic medical records, adhering to established protocols and compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and office staff as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional urgent care services.
- Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Louisiana.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of acute conditions across the lifespan.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
