Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Family Medicine & Women's Health Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Family Medicine & Women's Health for our innovative outpatient clinic in Northern Virginia. This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join a specialty practice focused on diagnosing and treating chronic pelvic pain in both women and men. Our office-based, ultrasound-guided procedural approach is a pioneering method that delivers safe, effective, and comfortable care. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with a focus on pelvic rehabilitation, pelvic injuries, pelvic pain, postpartum care, incontinence, and pain with intercourse.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including pelvic exams and IUD placements, utilizing expertise in women’s health.
- Perform office-based ultrasound-guided procedures for pelvic pain management following our proprietary protocol. Comprehensive training will be provided for these specialized procedures.
- Deliver integrative nutrition and health coaching, particularly in the care of endometriosis patients, as part of a multimodal, interdisciplinary, non-opioid functional restorative approach.
- Work independently in the clinic, supported by medical assistants and office staff, managing a caseload of 15-20 patients per day.
- Utilize the eClinicalWorks electronic medical record (EMR) system to document patient encounters and coordinate care effectively.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure the highest standards of patient-centered care and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), with specialization in Family Medicine or Women’s Health.
- Active APRN licensure with full prescriptive authority.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with demonstrated expertise in general women’s health, including pelvic exams and IUD placements.
- Background in Planned Parenthood or women’s health settings strongly preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage patient care in a clinic setting.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care within a multidisciplinary team.
Employment Type
This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements.
