Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) – Part-Time Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) to join our collaborative family medicine team on a part-time basis, with the potential for advancement to full-time in the future. This Nurse Practitioner position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive primary care services in a supportive, private practice setting. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide evidence-based care, conduct patient assessments, and contribute to the ongoing health and well-being of our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and the collection of detailed medical histories.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized care plans for patients across the lifespan.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, ensuring continuity and coordination of care.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and radiology tests to support clinical decision making.
- Perform minor and superficial surgical procedures, including lesion excision, biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses, cryosurgery, pap smears, suturing, wound care, debridement, and removal of superficial foreign bodies.
- Administer a variety of injections, including joint, tendon, and trigger point injections as clinically indicated.
- Utilize Accountable Care Organization (ACO) tools and protocols to assist patients in accessing high-value healthcare and maintaining quality scores within commercial and public payer ACO programs.
- Participate in after-hours call rotation with other clinical providers to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and current NP-C licensure authorized to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
- Current DEA license allowing prescriptive authority.
- Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Professional clinical experience in primary care, family practice, emergency room, or urgent care settings.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR) for clinical documentation and patient management.
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of high-quality, high-value care, in alignment with ACO goals.
