Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Internal Medicine Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a dynamic and busy internal medicine group. This team-oriented environment is focused on providing comprehensive, high-quality care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions. As the practice continues to grow, we are looking to add a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) who will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and evidence-based medical services.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations in an internal medicine setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate within the scope of Nurse Practitioner (NP) practice and in accordance with state regulations.
- Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care for all patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices in internal medicine care.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff, ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program, with a specialization in adult or family medicine preferred.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure and certification as required by state law.
- Board certification as an NP (such as AANP, ANCC) in internal medicine, family practice, or adult-gerontology.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in internal medicine, primary care, or chronic disease management is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard clinical documentation procedures.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
