Optigy is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Radiologist (Locum Tenens) to provide specialized diagnostic imaging services in Rock Hill, SC. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and report nuclear medicine studies, including PET, SPECT, and other advanced imaging modalities, in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic information and patient care recommendations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of imaging processes and patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulatory standards, as well as institutional policies regarding safety, radiation protection, and patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, with shifts determined by department needs; call coverage may vary depending on site requirements.
- Utilize hospital or outpatient imaging systems efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and record keeping for all procedures performed.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Radiology and fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent nuclear medicine radiology experience.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in South Carolina (SC) or eligibility to obtain one; preference given to candidates with a clean malpractice and background history.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Nuclear Medicine Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent national certifying body is required.
- Ability to meet national and institutional credentialing requirements; credentialing typically requires up to 90 days but may be expedited for candidates with a clean record.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment.
