Nonprofit Program Coordinator Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Nonprofit Program Coordinator for a full-time position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a global nonprofit organization, supporting foundation partners and enhancing fundraising and operational initiatives, particularly focused on the Sub-Saharan Africa region. The position provides a unique chance to collaborate across international teams and help implement impactful strategies that drive organizational capacity and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with Senior Regional Liaisons to support and strengthen international foundation partners' fundraising strategies and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive and accurate data within the organization's CRM system, keeping track of revenue trends, educational priorities, and partnership challenges.
- Draft engaging program content and provide language support for global initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead the preparation, planning, and execution of foundation assessments, and participate actively in related workshops and learning sessions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Produce detailed assessment reports and assist senior leadership in the development of strategic growth plans aimed at expanding the foundation's impact.
- Facilitate coaching and shadowing opportunities by coordinating with subject matter experts and alliance members, supporting professional development across the network.
- Support the daily operational workflow and administrative processes of the global programs team, ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for all international and domestic travel, events, and workshops, ensuring effective communication and organization for global foundation partners.
Fluency in French or Portuguese is strongly preferred for this Nonprofit Program Coordinator position. Candidates proficient in these languages may be considered with less formal experience than typically required, supporting diverse communication needs across international teams.
Qualifications- 3–4 years of professional experience in a coordination, support, or liaison role (flexible based on language proficiency).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with strong skills in data entry and note-taking.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting regional or leadership-level stakeholders in a nonprofit or similar environment.
- Cultural awareness of Sub-Saharan Africa and an understanding of how regional values influence communication and relationship-building.
- Experience working in a global or cross-cultural setting, with an ability to adapt to diverse environments.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, marketing, operations, or public relations.
- Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year and to support occasional weekend or evening commitments as required.
- Ability to lead communications with foundation partners, including scheduling monthly calls and providing program updates.
