NICU RN (Registered Nurse) – Level III Summary- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Work collaboratively with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting family-centered practices.
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to all relevant protocols and standards of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for newborns in the NICU Level III setting.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal equipment.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Educate and support families regarding their infant’s care, progress, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for each patient.
- Respond to emergencies and assist with resuscitation as needed in the NICU.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development relevant to neonatal care.
