Neuroradiologist – Locum Tenens Job Overview
Optigy is seeking a skilled Neuroradiologist for a Locum Tenens assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert diagnostic imaging services specializing in neurology within a supportive, team-based environment. The position is located in Houston, TX and offers the flexibility of a locum tenens (temporary) arrangement. Neuroradiologists play a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions by interpreting a variety of neuroimaging studies, contributing to high-quality patient care in the region.
Responsibilities
- Interpret a range of neuroimaging studies, including MRI, CT, and other modalities, to assist in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning for patients with neurological conditions.
- Maintain high standards of efficiency and consistency in image interpretation and reporting, adhering to departmental and national guidelines for neuroradiology.
- Participate in the standard shift schedule or adjust hours as needed to meet department requirements; call responsibilities may vary depending on the assignment site.
- Ensure all patient interactions and documentation comply with hospital, regulatory, and industry standards for patient care and data privacy.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in neuroradiology and best practices in diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with completion of an accredited residency in radiology and fellowship training in neuroradiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology from a recognized national certifying body.
- Active Texas medical license required; preference for candidates with a clean malpractice and background history.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in neuroradiology, with a proven ability to adapt to varying practice settings and workflow requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
Credentialing
- Credentialing process may take up to 90 days, with expedited timelines possible for candidates with a clear professional record.
- Applicants must meet all national and Texas state credentialing standards for practice as a Neuroradiologist in a locum tenens capacity.
