Network Engineer (CCNA/CCNP) - Summary- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network systems
- Support municipal IT infrastructure with a focus on security and high availability
- Lead as a Tier 3 technical resource for advanced network and security issues
- Maintain and enhance secure, robust connectivity platforms
- Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring optimal uptime and performance
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, and wireless environments
- Implement and manage security protocols using Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) and Aruba NAC solutions
- Provide support for high-availability application delivery using F5 BIG-IP load balancers and VPNs
- Oversee cellular connectivity and implement failover solutions, including Cradlepoint systems
- Act as a Tier 3 technical lead to resolve complex network and security issues in collaboration with other IT professionals
- Utilize Cisco Meraki Dashboard and Cradlepoint NetCloud for network management and cellular failover operations
- Stay current on emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems

- 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong record of designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks
- Expertise with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus devices, VLANs, routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP), and Spanning Tree
- Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS), including security policies, NAT rules, and SSL decryption
- Deep knowledge of F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM/SSL Orchestration), Aruba Wi-Fi, and ClearPass NAC
- Experience managing networks using Cisco Meraki Dashboard and implementing cellular failover via Cradlepoint NetCloud
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly valued
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- Proven leader in enterprise network engineering, comfortable taking ownership of large-scale projects
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining high network availability and security
