Network Architect - Summary
As a Network Architect, your primary responsibility is to define and maintain an enterprise network architecture strategy that supports all organizational facilities. This includes developing comprehensive network roadmaps, standardizing architectures for network, wireless, and security systems, and leading strategic planning for major infrastructure initiatives. You will evaluate current network environments, recommend improvements, and oversee multi-site deployments to ensure high performance, reliability, and security. In addition to technical leadership, you will be responsible for vendor management, ensuring that all third-party engagements align with organizational standards and deliver value for the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise network architecture strategy across all facilities.
- Develop and implement network roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
- Design and standardize network, wireless, and security architectures for both existing and new sites.
- Lead planning and execution of major infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Evaluate current network environments to identify opportunities for upgrades, enhancements, or replacements.
- Oversee multi-site or distributed network environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership for wireless network architecture, including enterprise-scale deployments.
- Implement security best practices, including segmentation, access control, and policy enforcement.
- Leverage hands-on experience with Meraki networking solutions and cloud networking platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Manage vendor relationships, holding vendors accountable for performance and compliance.
- Advise senior leadership on complex technical topics with strong executive communication skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture design and implementation.
- Proven track record in designing and overseeing multi-site or distributed network environments.
- Expertise in wireless network architecture, particularly in large-scale enterprise deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of network security principles, including segmentation, access control, and policy enforcement.
- Hands-on experience with Meraki networking solutions.
- Experience with cloud networking platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Demonstrated ability in vendor management, including evaluating and holding vendors accountable.
- Experience leading or overseeing large-scale infrastructure deployments.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance to senior leadership on technical matters.
