Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Network Administrator:
- Configure, install, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform field service tasks including punch downs, circuit installations, and closet setups, traveling to various sites as needed.
- Support and troubleshoot VoIP and telephony systems, ensuring high call quality and system uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve network performance issues using a methodical, root-cause-driven approach.
Required Skills for Network Administrator:- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, field support, or related IT infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network components such as switches, routers, and circuits.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cabling standards, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of VoIP and telephony systems.
- Ability to travel.
