.NET Developer (Contract, Remote)
ARC Group is seeking a skilled .NET Developer for a contract position running through January 2025, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment. Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy applications and systems using .NET languages such as C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.
- Upgrade, configure, and debug existing systems to enhance functionality and performance.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to design and architect software solutions.
- Write clean, scalable code and ensure adherence to software development best practices.
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Document software solutions and processes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on applications and provide ongoing technical support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer, with a minimum of 5+ years in technical design and coding within the IT industry.
- Strong proficiency with SQL, particularly MSSQL.
- Extensive knowledge of .NET programming languages (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET).
- Familiarity with architectural styles and APIs, including REST and RPC.
- Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocols, and change management.
- Proficiency using version control tools such as GIT, SVN, CVS, and others.
- Ability to program in multiple object-oriented languages including .NET, React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- Database expertise in SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.
- Proficiency with standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.
- Experience using debugging tools such as Advanced Debugger, AQtime, and others.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- In-depth understanding of the full systems development life cycle and software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in medical claims processing or exposure to the healthcare or financial domains.
- Experience with architecture patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.
