.NET Developer OverviewARC Group is seeking a skilled .NET Developer for a full-time opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida. This .NET Developer position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work to support flexibility and work-life balance. As a .NET Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the evolving needs of our organization and clients.
Responsibilities- Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and VB.NET.
- Support legacy systems by working with Classic ASP, VB6, and MS Access as needed to ensure ongoing business operations.
- Create new software components and modules to satisfy functional requirements and meet project goals.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, including joins, stored procedures, and triggers, to facilitate data-driven solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft T-SQL and SSIS for data integration and transformation projects, supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, end users, and team members to gather and interpret business requirements, translating them into high-quality technical solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, following established methodologies and standards for systems design, coding, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure technical solutions are aligned with organizational IT strategies and adhere to architectural standards and best practices.
- Integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems, leveraging HTTP methods such as GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE.
- Work within an agile development framework and use source control tools, with a preference for Git on TFS, to manage code versions and collaboration.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure project transparency and timely delivery.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in .NET development, including expertise in C#, ASP.NET, and VB.NET.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in writing and understanding advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Hands-on experience with legacy systems such as Classic ASP, VB6, and MS Access is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API integration and experience working with web services.
- Experience executing projects within an agile development environment and using version control systems, preferably Git on TFS.
- Prior experience working with government agencies is considered a plus.
- Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities as required.
