Mobile Game QA Tester Job OverviewWe are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Game QA Tester to join our remote Quality Assurance (QA) team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about mobile gaming and interested in contributing to player experience improvements. As a Mobile Game QA Tester, you will evaluate mobile games from the user’s perspective, delivering valuable feedback on gameplay, engagement, and user satisfaction. This position is remote within North America and offers a project-based compensation structure with flexible hours, making it ideal for those committed to optimizing the gaming experience for millions of players.
Responsibilities- Play a diverse range of mobile games extensively, focusing on analyzing the player journey, emotional engagement, and long-term gameplay satisfaction.
- Identify and thoroughly document aspects where the player experience can be improved, such as confusing game mechanics, challenging difficulty levels, or lack of player rewards.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback regarding game design, storylines, user interface elements, and monetization strategies to support development teams in refining game features.
- Simulate different player archetypes to evaluate their responses to various game features and mechanics.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on a daily or weekly basis, summarizing player experience observations, sentiment analysis, and actionable recommendations for game improvement.
- Strong empathy for players and a deep understanding of the factors that contribute to an engaging and enjoyable mobile gaming experience.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and substantial experience playing a wide variety of mobile game genres.
- Preferred background in game playtesting, user experience (UX) research, or community management within the gaming industry.
- Reliable internet connection and access to modern mobile devices necessary for comprehensive testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate player sentiment and feedback to development teams.
