Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls appropriately, and manage patient inquiries with efficiency and empathy.
- Schedule patient appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records by entering information into the electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with the completion of required forms.
- Collect co-pays and manage billing processes according to office procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations and uphold the highest standard of patient care.
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, stocked, and compliant with all privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling phones in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Proficient in using computers and medical office software, including electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
