Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate and thorough collection of personal and insurance information for medical records and billing purposes.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and directing calls to appropriate clinical staff as needed.
- Coordinate the release of medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
- Perform a range of general office administrative duties, including data entry, maintaining organized patient files, processing paperwork, and assisting with billing tasks as required.
- Provide clinical assistance to healthcare providers as directed, which may include preparing examination rooms, assisting with patient flow, and supporting basic patient care activities within the scope of training.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming office environment for both patients and staff members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical office software systems are advantageous.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
