Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Cincinnati, OH. This leadership role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, value-based care to seniors in an outpatient primary care setting. The Medical Director, Primary Care will oversee clinical operations, guide a team of primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), and ensure a patient-centered approach that honors the mission of providing affordable, VIP health services to the senior population. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, including PCPs and NPs, to ensure delivery of comprehensive primary care services.
- Oversee care for a small patient panel of seniors, typically with 3-5 chronic diseases, to provide personalized and effective treatment plans.
- Promote and implement value-based care models that focus on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiologists and podiatrists, to support holistic patient health.
- Participate in the development and execution of center operations, financial performance initiatives, and growth strategies.
- Engage in leadership training programs, including Medical Director and Center Operations, as well as Medical Economics.
- Foster an inclusive, patient-focused environment that aligns with the organization's mission to serve seniors with dignity and respect.
- Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Proficient leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally.
