Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time leadership role focuses on delivering comprehensive care to a senior population, primarily managing patients with multiple chronic conditions. As a Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will leverage your expertise to lead clinical operations, support a team of primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, and drive quality value-based care initiatives in our Jacksonville, FL location.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to organizational standards in Jacksonville, FL.
- Oversee a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on those with 3-5 chronic diseases, and implement value-based care strategies.
- Participate in and complete comprehensive training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Manage center operations, including medical economics and financial performance, and contribute to the growth and development of the clinic.
- Coordinate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines to provide holistic care options including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutritional services.
- Ensure seamless patient experiences, including organizing door-to-door transportation services for patients as needed.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally.
