Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for an outpatient clinical leadership role in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the primary care center, providing leadership to physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Maintain responsibility for a small patient panel of approximately 60-90 seniors, focusing on those managing multiple chronic conditions within a value-based care framework.
- Implement and monitor evidence-based clinical practices, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
- Participate in and facilitate ongoing provider training, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Monitor and improve medical economics and center financial performance, collaborating with operational and administrative teams.
- Support growth initiatives, including patient acquisition and engagement strategies, in alignment with organizational goals.
- Engage with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiology and podiatry, to provide holistic, multidisciplinary care for patients.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, supporting team members in their professional development and contributing to a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting required; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
