Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for a full-time leadership role in Miami, FL. As a physician-led and mission-driven primary care organization, our focus is on delivering exceptional, value-based care to seniors, particularly those with complex chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), to deliver patient-centered care to a panel of seniors, typically with 3-5 chronic diseases.
- Oversee clinical operations to ensure adherence to value-based care principles and high-quality standards within the practice.
- Participate in and support ongoing provider education, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Essentials, and leadership development programs.
- Utilize medical economics knowledge to monitor and enhance the center’s financial performance and contribute to growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with onsite consulting specialists such as cardiologists and podiatrists, and promote holistic health services including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition support.
- Support operational processes such as patient scheduling, care coordination, and direct supervision of clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and patient advocacy throughout the clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
