Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for a full-time, outpatient leadership role at our center in Deerfield Beach, FL. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to lead a team of primary care providers and nurse practitioners, while providing direct care to a small patient panel in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to all providers within the primary care center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Manage a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions, in line with value-based care principles.
- Supervise, mentor, and support primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) to foster professional growth and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
- Participate actively in physician leadership training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Operations, and Leadership Pathways, to enhance management skills and drive organizational success.
- Collaborate with in-house consultants such as cardiologists and podiatrists, as well as holistic health providers, to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
- Monitor and improve center financial performance, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction in partnership with the administrative team.
- Engage in the development and execution of growth initiatives and community outreach to expand the impact of the center in Deerfield Beach, FL.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice in alignment with organizational and industry guidelines.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required by the position.
