Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for our outpatient center in Memphis, TN. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the clinical operations of the primary care outpatient center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in Memphis, TN, in a full-time capacity.
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of physicians and nurse practitioners (NPs), fostering a collaborative approach to care.
- Maintain a small patient panel (maximum of 60-90 seniors) to provide personalized and attentive medical care, focusing on individuals with multiple chronic conditions.
- Implement and support value-based care models designed to improve patient outcomes and optimize resource utilization.
- Participate in ongoing leadership development programs, such as PCP Black Belt Training and Medical Director Essentials, to enhance management skills and clinical operations knowledge.
- Monitor and promote clinic financial performance, collaborating with the operations team to achieve organizational goals.
- Engage in the growth and success of the clinic by supporting patient engagement initiatives and fostering relationships within the Memphis, TN community.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and effective healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
