Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) – Full-time Overview
We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to join our dynamic outpatient clinic team on a full-time basis. Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and leadership for a multidisciplinary primary care outpatient team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Manage and mentor a team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Oversee a small patient panel (60–90 patients) focused primarily on seniors with 3-5 chronic diseases, emphasizing the principles of value-based care.
- Implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Participate in provider training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, PCP Essentials, Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Monitor and drive clinical and financial performance indicators, supporting the organization's mission to deliver better health for seniors.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, and support holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required; leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
