Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to lead our clinical operations in Jacksonville, FL. The Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) will have a significant impact on the quality of care provided to our senior patients and will play a pivotal role in the leadership of our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily clinical operations and provide medical leadership to primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Manage a small patient panel, typically ranging from 60 to 90 patients, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Promote and implement value-based care initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical compliance are maintained throughout the center.
- Participate in and lead training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, PCP Essentials, and Medical Director development.
- Monitor and drive clinical and financial performance of the center, contributing to both patient satisfaction and organizational growth.
- Engage in leadership development programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists and support holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Ensure patient access to care, including supporting transportation services for patients in Jacksonville, FL.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required.
