Medical Director – Primary Care Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director – Primary Care (MD/DO) to lead our primary care outpatient clinic in Philadelphia, PA. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for board-certified or board-eligible physicians passionate about providing exceptional care to the senior population. As a Medical Director – Primary Care, you will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical operations, leading care teams, and supporting our commitment to honoring seniors with outstanding healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team, including primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care.
- Oversee a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, primarily managing individuals with multiple chronic conditions and complex care needs.
- Implement and support value-based care initiatives, focusing on improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and ongoing education to care teams through programs such as PCP Black Belt Training and Leadership Pathways.
- Oversee center operations, medical economics, and financial performance to ensure sustainability and growth.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to deliver holistic and integrated patient care.
- Promote holistic health services such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition within the clinical setting.
- Support clinic growth initiatives, including partnerships and community outreach.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold best practices in patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and, on occasion, regionally.
