Medical Director (MD/DO), Primary Care Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director (MD/DO), Primary Care, for our center located in Palm Beach County, FL. As a physician-led and mission-driven healthcare organization, our primary focus is to provide comprehensive, high-quality primary care services to seniors. By joining our team as a Medical Director (MD/DO), Primary Care, you will play a vital role in leading a multidisciplinary clinical team and ensuring exceptional care delivery to our patient population in Palm Beach County, FL. This is a full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a primary care team, including physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), ensuring coordinated and high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions.
- Implement and champion value-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Participate in and lead ongoing clinical training programs, such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Essentials, and Leadership Pathways.
- Monitor and drive center performance in medical economics and operations to achieve organizational goals.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice by supporting sales, outreach, and patient engagement strategies.
- Maintain a strong work-life balance with a Monday–Friday schedule, clinic hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm.
- Serve as a role model for clinical leadership, communication, and teamwork within the center.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Leadership experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
