Medical Director – MD/DO OverviewOur organization is a physician-led, mission-driven primary care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, value-based healthcare to seniors. As we continue to transform the primary care landscape, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Director – MD/DO to join our full-time team in Jacksonville, FL. This leadership role is vital to fulfilling our mission and vision, emphasizing both purpose and professional growth for our clinical leaders.
Responsibilities- Lead a multidisciplinary clinical team including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) to ensure delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Manage a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on individuals with multiple (3-5) chronic diseases and complex health needs.
- Oversee and support the implementation of value-based care strategies, improving patient outcomes and clinical efficiency.
- Participate in the training and mentorship of clinical staff through programs focused on PCP essentials, leadership development, medical economics, and operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in clinical care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with consulting specialists in fields such as cardiology and podiatry to provide comprehensive, in-house care to patients.
- Promote holistic health services, including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition programs, as part of an integrated care approach.
- Contribute to clinic growth and operational performance, including involvement in medical economics and sales initiatives.
- Support transportation solutions for patients in need, ensuring access to care for all seniors served by the clinic.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice environment; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a clinical team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
- Participate in comprehensive training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, Leadership Pathways, and courses focused on medical economics and center financial performance.
- Access to in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to enhance patient care delivery.
- Holistic health offerings such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling, contributing to a well-rounded health experience for patients.
- Door-to-door transportation provided at no cost for patients, promoting accessibility and continuity of care.
