Medical Director (MD/DO) - Delray Beach, FL - Full-timeWe are a physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization dedicated to transforming healthcare for seniors. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Director (MD/DO) to join our clinical leadership team in Delray Beach, FL on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the daily operations of a primary care center focused on senior patients with complex, chronic conditions.
- Lead and provide guidance to a multidisciplinary team of primary care physicians (PCPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Maintain a small patient panel, allowing for personalized, relationship-based care and effective disease management.
- Implement and reinforce value-based care principles, focusing on quality metrics and patient outcomes.
- Participate in and contribute to leadership development programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Essentials, and Center Operations training.
- Monitor and manage center financial performance, working closely with administrative staff to meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in fields such as cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health providers, to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
- Support patient access by coordinating complimentary transportation services, as well as promoting holistic health offerings such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition services.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
