Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of clinical tasks under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy, including accurate and safe blood drawing techniques, and provide patient education on procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, vital signs, and clinical interventions using electronic medical record systems.
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, updating charts, and preparing patients for examination or treatment.
- Support physicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow within the medical office.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing empathetic guidance throughout their care experience.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and facilitate effective communication among healthcare providers.
- Follow protocols for infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Execute administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with patient follow-up under direction.

Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential. Relevant certification in phlebotomy is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience in phlebotomy, with a commitment to patient safety and comfort during specimen collection.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with electronic medical record systems and accurate data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced medical office environment.
