Montgomery Family Practice is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) / Front Desk Receptionist for a full-time position. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of front office activities. As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Assistant (MA) / Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive and friendly first impression at Montgomery Family Practice.
- Efficiently check in patients, verify their information, and manage necessary paperwork in compliance with office procedures.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups, coordinating effectively with physicians and other clinical staff to optimize the patient experience.
- Handle multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, route calls, and take accurate messages for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with maintaining organized medical records and ensure all patient information remains confidential and secure.
- Support the transition between front desk and clinical responsibilities, with training provided to qualified candidates interested in Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) roles.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide administrative and operational support as needed.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred but not required. Candidates with the willingness to learn and relevant skills are encouraged to apply.
- No previous front desk experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced medical office setting.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and office equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Employment Details
- Full-time position with consistent Monday through Friday hours, 8:30am to 6:00pm. Enjoy weekends and major holidays off, supporting work-life balance.
