Medical Assistant (MA) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our well-established, one-physician private practice specializing in personalized, integrative medical care. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care and thrive in a dynamic environment where both front and back office responsibilities are integral to the role. The Medical Assistant (MA) position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, offering flexibility for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities- Act as a medical scribe during patient visits, accurately documenting information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Manage front office tasks, including answering phone calls, promptly responding to patient messages, scheduling appointments, processing prescription refills, and coordinating referrals to specialists as needed.
- Assist the physician with various patient care activities, such as welcoming and escorting patients to examination rooms, collecting vital signs, administering immunizations, performing laboratory draws, and completing additional clinical or administrative duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in medical scribing is preferred, though not required for the role.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) programs.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to ensure effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
