Enoch Community Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - PRN to join our clinical team on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in supporting both clinical and front office operations in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - PRN, you will contribute to quality patient care by assisting providers and ensuring smooth workflow during periods of increased demand. Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients, ensuring accurate collection and documentation of medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, various medical procedures, and treatments, maintaining a supportive patient experience throughout.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed providers, following all clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, including specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to established guidelines.
- Ensure timely and precise documentation within electronic medical records (Athena EMR), contributing to high-quality patient care and compliance.
- Support front office operations as needed, which may include scheduling patient appointments, managing inbound calls, processing lab results, and assisting with medical records requests.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and sanitized.
- Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, patient privacy regulations, and safety procedures to protect both patients and staff members.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or completion of an equivalent training program.
- Previous clinical experience, especially in a primary care setting, is preferred.
- Demonstrated accuracy and professionalism in both documentation and patient communication.
- Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records systems is an advantage.
Employment Type and Schedule
- Employment Type: PRN (as needed), with a flexible work schedule to accommodate clinic needs.
- Assignments may include coverage for staff leave, high-volume days, or specific shifts as required by the clinic.
