We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and manage the appointment calendar to ensure smooth workflow in the practice.
- Answer incoming phone calls, route messages to the appropriate personnel, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to achieve positive patient outcomes and maintain high standards of care.
- Accurately maintain administrative and medical records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring patient information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, monitor medical supply levels, and restock as needed to maintain a well-equipped clinical environment.
- Assist with office-based patient care, including preparing patients for examinations, performing routine diagnostic tests, screenings, gathering medical history, and administering vaccinations under guidance.
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and patient-centered workplace by performing additional medical and administrative duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program or currently enrolled. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- At least 1-2 years of prior medical experience, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for this Medical Assistant (CMA) role.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the practice location.
