Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary representative to clients throughout all project phases, maintaining clear communication and building strong, ongoing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and manage HVAC, plumbing, and process system projects from inception through completion, ensuring all work is performed to high standards and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain a robust client base while identifying opportunities for future business development within the mechanical construction sector.
- Collaborate with field leadership to manage project labor needs, including the coordination of field teams and supervision of installation sequencing.
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and project documentation to support the sales and execution of mechanical construction projects.
- Oversee the financial aspects of each project, including budget forecasting, cost control, billing, and ongoing financial analysis to ensure profitability and legal compliance.
- Organize and lead client meetings, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Coordinate departmental efforts across Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service to achieve project milestones and deliverables on schedule.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Project Coordinators, encouraging professional development through coaching, training, and participation in special projects.
- Attend and participate in internal meetings, including Project Management, Sales, and Construction meetings, ensuring alignment between project goals and company objectives.
- Utilize internal resources effectively, managing cross-departmental collaboration to meet project and customer requirements.
- Provide accurate and timely communication with all management and department heads, documenting all relevant project information for legal and business protection.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by upper management to support organizational growth and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in estimating, designing, or managing HVAC/mechanical construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $100+ million in value.
- Proven ability to operate independently and autonomously, demonstrating a high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong business development skills with a track record of expanding client bases and generating new project opportunities.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of concurrent issues and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to community involvement through participation in industry or community-based organizations.
- Valid and current driver’s license (Class "C") with the ability to drive as needed for business travel between office locations and job sites.
