Financial Services Manager Position OverviewNew York Life is seeking motivated individuals for the Financial Services Manager position. This full-time role is designed for professionals looking to advance their careers in financial services, with the opportunity to develop essential skills in management, sales, and client relations. As a Financial Services Manager, you will initially train and work as a financial professional, gaining a deep understanding of product offerings and client needs, before transitioning into a leadership role where you will guide and coach others.
Responsibilities- Begin your career as a financial professional, learning to market and sell a comprehensive suite of insurance and investment products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and mutual funds.
- Develop expertise in client relationship management and business development through structured training and mentorship.
- Meet specified performance requirements during your initial year, preparing for advancement into management.
- Transition to a management role after a year, participating in a six-month intensive Associate Partner training program where you'll learn to recruit, coach, and lead a team of financial professionals.
- Utilize digital sales, prospecting, and marketing tools to attract and retain clients, leveraging company-provided resources and expert support.
- Stay current on industry regulations and maintain the required securities licenses and FINRA registrations as a registered representative affiliated with NYLIFE Securities LLC.
- Drive the growth and performance of your team, supporting the professional development of others and contributing to New York Life’s mission of enhancing financial well-being for individuals, families, and businesses.
- Sales or managerial experience in any industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience running your own business is advantageous.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is beneficial.
- Commitment to obtaining required securities licenses and FINRA registrations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Drive to make a positive impact on clients’ financial security and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
