Key Responsibilities- Begin your journey as a financial professional, building expertise in selling insurance and financial products, developing client relationships, and supporting the financial well-being of individuals, families, and small businesses in your community.
- Participate in a comprehensive, six-month training program focused on developing core management skills, including marketing, business development, and customer relationship management.
- Leverage digital tools and expert resources provided by New York Life to attract, retain, and support clients, utilizing web, social, and email content to enhance business development efforts.
- Learn about and offer a robust suite of financial products and services, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products such as mutual funds through NYLIFE Securities LLC (member of FINRA and SIPC).
- Gain experience in recruiting, coaching, and leading a team of financial professionals as you transition into a management role following your initial year of success as a financial professional.
- Continue professional development and pursue advancement opportunities within management, with support for ongoing training and leadership development.
- Prior sales, business, or managerial experience in any industry is highly valued.
- Entrepreneurial experience, such as running your own business, is a strong asset.
- MBA or an equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required securities licenses and FINRA registrations to offer investment products.
- Motivation to make a meaningful impact on clients’ financial well-being and a desire to grow into a leadership role.
As a Financial Services Manager at New York Life, you will receive robust initial and ongoing training. Your first year will focus on mastering the role of a financial professional, including comprehensive training on product knowledge, prospecting techniques, and client service. Following your successful first year, you will enter a six-month Associate Partner training program designed to prepare you for leadership by providing you with the skills and resources needed to recruit, develop, and manage a team of financial professionals.
Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation structure for this full-time Financial Services Manager position is performance-driven, with commission-based earnings as a financial professional and a competitive salary upon promotion to Associate Partner. Additional compensation is available based on team performance and recruitment success. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment coverages, a pension plan, and a 401(k) savings plan.
