Machine Operator - SummaryThe Machine Operator is responsible for performing essential production tasks under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Key responsibilities include operating and overseeing automated machinery, responding to system changes or faults, and ensuring that production records are accurately maintained. The Machine Operator also plays a vital part in sustaining a clean and safe workspace, which is critical in the manufacturing of medical device products. Duties & Responsibilities- Operate and monitor automated machinery to ensure continuous production of medical device products.
- Respond promptly to machine faults, tote changes, and lot completion or changeovers to minimize downtime.
- Stage and replenish raw materials to support uninterrupted production flow.
- Exchange product tools as needed to maintain machine operation and product quality.
- Complete production records accurately, documenting raw material usage, machine settings, and product labeling in line with standard procedures.
- Perform regular visual inspections of products to identify inconsistencies or abnormalities.
- Report any issues with products, raw materials, or equipment to senior operators, shift leads, technicians, or the Production Supervisor to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Provide machine support to co-workers during breaks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members in an automated production environment and assist in guiding new team members in understanding work assignments and proper task completion methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift and ensure the area is left clean at shift end.
- Participate in all required training programs to stay current with production processes and safety protocols.

- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), particularly within the medical industry, and some experience with injection molding processes is strongly preferred.
- Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift and lift equipment or parts weighing up to 30 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, automated production environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.
