Microsoft 365 Architect (M365 Architect) Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Microsoft 365 Architect (M365 Architect) to join our team in a full-time role. This position is essential for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies related to Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure within a large public sector organization. The Microsoft 365 Architect (M365 Architect) will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that business objectives are met through innovative solutions, robust governance, and secure implementation of Microsoft cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategy for Microsoft 365 (M365), Power Platform, and Azure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze business operations, applications, and security to determine requirements for M365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Design and implement new projects while maintaining and enhancing existing M365 and Power Platform architectures.
- Serve as the primary caretaker for the low-code Power Platform strategy, collaborating with the Center of Excellence (CoE) governance team to ensure organizational alignment.
- Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments by establishing policies, managing user access, monitoring capacity, and overseeing licensing.
- Oversee continual updates to CoE releases and manage the Governance Hub for Power Platform to maintain compliance and optimize functionality.
- Implement changes in M365 and Power Platform that conform to established standards, ensuring systems are consistent, normalized, high-performing, and secure from unauthorized access or updates.
- Review the impact of proposed changes on M365 and Power Platform architecture and communicate these impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish metrics to measure progress, completeness, and quality of enterprise usage, continually seeking to improve performance.
- Communicate and collaborate professionally and promptly with internal and external teams.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- At least 4 years of experience managing Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange, Power Platform, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proven track record of developing Microsoft 365 strategies for at least 4 years.
- Extensive experience scoping and implementing Microsoft 365 projects.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate (Flows), and Power BI.
