Low Voltage Technician - Summary
- Full-time field-based position specializing in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing of security and low-voltage systems.
- Act as a lead technician onsite, directing and auditing the work of team members while ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Support a variety of technology solutions including CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, networking, and digital signage.
- Deliver timely updates and serve as a point of escalation for client issues, driving resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor less experienced technicians, supporting their growth and contributing to team success.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead onsite project teams, directing, inspecting, and auditing work performed by other technicians to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Independently perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing of CCTV and low-voltage systems at customer locations.
- Provide regular status updates and required deliverables to project teams and support centers.
- Serve as a point of escalation for client issues, resolving problems efficiently and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Train, mentor, and coach less experienced team members, helping them develop technical and administrative skills.
- Complete all job-related administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technician I or equivalent low-voltage role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least five of the following areas: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking.
- Industry manufacturer certifications and/or structured cabling experience preferred.
- BICSI Installer 1 certification is required (must be completed and maintained).
- Other required certifications and training: OSHA 30, LIFT certification, local installer licenses/cards, and HIPAA Training.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies including CCTV, intrusion, fire alarm systems, access control, and networking.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word) and general laptop usage.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, solve problems in the field, and multitask effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering outstanding results.
