Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job OverviewWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy, independent medical practice on a full-time basis. The LPN will play a crucial role in supporting daily clinical operations and ensuring excellent patient care. Responsibilities- Conduct patient intake and triage, collecting vital signs and patient histories to prepare for physician examination.
- Perform a range of nurse procedures, including administering injections independently and managing other routine clinical tasks as required.
- Maintain exam room supplies and equipment, ensuring all areas are stocked, sanitized, and ready for use.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide test results, answer questions about care, and offer guidance on ongoing treatment or follow-up instructions.
- Process prescription refill requests and facilitate prior authorization procedures as needed to support patient care continuity.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information, update records, and coordinate with other healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes.
- Support the overall workflow of the medical practice by multitasking and prioritizing duties in a fast-paced setting.
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills; experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is considered a plus.
