Key Responsibilities
- Triage patients and accurately document information in electronic medical records to assist providers during patient treatment.
- Assess patient needs and communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
- Facilitate the efficient flow of patient care to optimize provider time and improve the overall patient experience.
- Perform CLIA-waived testing and record results in the patient’s chart.
- Administer injectable medications and perform intravenous procedures as ordered by the provider.
- Assist patients with their individual healthcare needs and requests, providing a high level of patient service.
- Support providers with in-office treatments and procedures, including preparation of the procedure room or exam room.
- Answer phones professionally, process phone requests, and relay pertinent information efficiently and courteously.
- Follow up with patients regarding test results and other communications as directed by providers.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and computerized messages accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with the Patient Care Coordinator and other team members to meet departmental goals.
- Review patient charts to ensure all preventative health screenings and necessary tests have been completed.
- Coordinate labs and tests with patients, making calls as needed to ensure recommendations and physician orders are fulfilled.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the clinic.

- Proficiency in general office skills, including managing mail, faxes, forms, and patient care documentation.
- Strong professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

- Physical ability to stand, lift, and carry materials or equipment as required in a clinical setting.
- Competence in filing, retrieving information, and utilizing electronic health records systems.
- Capacity to educate patients, families, and caregivers on relevant health topics and care plans.
- Willingness to adhere to departmental standards and participate in ongoing education and licensure renewals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active and unrestricted LPN License.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with electronic medical records systems.
