Licensed Insurance Agent Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Licensed Insurance Agent to join our team at Nate Thomas – State Farm Agency, located in Bowie, MD, in a full-time capacity. Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage leads to grow the client base through effective prospecting and relationship building.
- Schedule appointments with potential and existing customers, identifying and understanding their insurance needs.
- Market appropriate products and services, including Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance solutions, tailored to customer requirements.
- Establish strong customer relationships and conduct regular follow-ups to ensure ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing matters.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions for reference and follow-up activities.
- Current Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting employment.
- Current Life & Health license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting employment.
- Previous experience in insurance sales or related sales roles, such as inside/outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing, is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals or quotas is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening abilities.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build rapport and effectively relate to a diverse customer base.
