This full-time position is designed for a professional who holds the required 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license as well as a 2-15 insurance license and who has a strong background in the insurance sector. Experience with State Farm is highly preferred. The Licensed Insurance Office Manager serves as a key support for the agent, acting as a team leader and mentor, and is responsible for supervising team members, overseeing daily operations, and driving production and service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the office team by assisting the agent in managing, supervising, and supporting staff, ensuring operational goals are met in a collaborative environment.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Monitor team performance and hold staff accountable for meeting production and service objectives, supporting continuous professional growth.
- Oversee daily office functions, including fielding telephone calls, greeting visitors, and managing appointment scheduling to ensure efficient client service.
- Manage customer and client communications, including handling inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and accuracy.
- Coordinate the workloads of team members to ensure agency goals are achieved and that staff are supported in their roles.
- Provide leadership by example, setting high standards for integrity, dependability, and customer service.
- Assist the agent with staff evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support team development.
- Be adaptable and open to coaching, while also actively mentoring and supporting team members in their professional growth.
Qualifications
- Active 2-20 and/or 4-40 insurance license required.
- Active 2-15 insurance license required.
- State Farm experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with agency operations and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in a sales and service environment with the ability to lead teams toward achieving production goals.
- Strong motivation to succeed, showing a commitment to meeting or exceeding targets.
- Track record of dependability and excellence in customer service.
- Ability and desire to build meaningful relationships with clients, distinguishing the agency in a competitive market.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong listening ability.
- Successful completion of a background check; must have a clean criminal background.
