Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative (P&C, Life & Health) - Full-time Position Overview
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a vital role on the agency team, providing exceptional service to clients and supporting the growth of the agency’s book of business. As a valued team member, you will leverage your active Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health insurance licenses to deliver expert guidance, assist with policy servicing, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Monroe Township, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships by providing prompt, accurate, and friendly support for all insurance-related inquiries and service requests.
- Educate clients on available insurance products, coverage options, and policy features using a needs-based, consultative approach.
- Respond to questions regarding eligibility, coverage, policy changes, billing, transfers, claim submissions, and other service issues.
- Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and to address ongoing needs.
- Support agency growth objectives through cross-selling and up-selling based on client needs and coverage gaps.
- Ensure compliance with all agency procedures and industry regulations, maintaining detailed and accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
- Provide thorough and timely activity reports to the agency owner or manager as required.
- Remain current on product changes, licensing requirements, and industry developments through continuing education and training.
- Collaborate with team members to share best practices, solve problems, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license (required).
- Active Life & Health insurance license (required).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Technologically proficient and able to learn new computer functions quickly.
