Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative Position Overview
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative is a crucial role within a State Farm Agent's office, responsible for delivering quality service and building lasting relationships with clients. This full-time position requires an active Property and Casualty license as well as a Life and Health license. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in supporting the growth of the business by providing exceptional customer experiences and value-based conversations about insurance options.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships by communicating effectively and providing solutions tailored to individual needs.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing questions to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about various insurance products and coverage options, helping them make informed decisions.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving daily goals, contributing consistently to the team's success.
- Provide accurate and timely activity reports to the supervising agent to ensure effective communication and tracking of customer interactions.
- Stay current with product updates, licensing requirements, technical advancements, and continuing education to maintain a high level of expertise in the insurance field.
Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty license (required).
- Active Life and Health license (required).
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in completing work assignments.
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving, with a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to function well both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Comfort with learning and utilizing computer systems and software as part of daily workflow.
